Title:  Senior Telecommunications Engineer (Rail Area)

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our Railway Systems team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and supervising telecommunications and ICT systems for major rail and transit projects. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients to ensure the successful delivery of high‑quality telecom solutions. The position is based in Riyadh.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities of the position include:

• Leading the design and development of telecommunications systems for railway and transit projects (e.g., CCTV, PA, TETRA, fiber networks, data networks, access control, SCADA communications).
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including signaling, rolling stock, civil works, MEP, and systems integration.
• Ensuring technical alignment and consistency across all telecom‑related project deliverables.
• Managing interface requirements between telecom systems and other railway subsystems.
• Preparing, reviewing, and validating design documents, drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Participating in and leading technical coordination meetings with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
• Supporting the preparation of BoQs, technical proposals, and tender documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with international railway telecom standards and project requirements.
• Identifying risks related to telecom design, integration, or schedule, and proposing corrective actions.
• Providing technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases when required.
• Acting as a key technical point of contact for the client regarding telecom systems.
  
  

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A university degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• A high level of English (C1 or equivalent). Knowledge of a second language such as Arabic, French, or German is considered an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in the design of telecommunications projects, ideally within large‑scale infrastructure or transportation environments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact directly with end customers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• A genuine interest in participating in Telecommunications and ICT Solutions projects, performing engineering, consulting, and/or supervision tasks related to the implementation of communications and security systems.
• Knowledge of railway and transit communications environments is an advantage.
• A high degree of autonomy, strong analytical skills, and an innovative mindset.
