ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis MN or Atlanta GA.

 

Job Summary:

  • Review and perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and communicate same to others. Individual is expected to be fully versed in aspects of structural engineering for the industrial sector: including the analysis and design of steel and concrete building structures and foundation systems.
  • Perform project management functions, maintaining project schedule, scope and profitability
  • Maintain and expand client relationships
  • Assist business development efforts by applying technical knowledge to identify and understand client needs and define scope of work requirements to support proposals.
  • Coordinate effectively with other departments for multi-discipline projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University or equal. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with industrial building structural design and/or project management
  • Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer. Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
  • Individual must have a work history which represents increasing responsibility
  • Thorough knowledge and familiarity in using relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Very strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills


Viable candidate will be a flexible and dynamic team player capable of integrating into an international team. Individuals must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with very good organizational and project documentation habits. Candidate must have excellent analytical skills and proficiency in any one of the industry standard structural analysis programs such as: SAAP, RISA, TEKLA, or similar. AutoCad or Revit experience is a plus. Ability to provide excellent customer service, work well in a collaborative environment and demonstrate effective team building skills is a must. Spanish or German language proficiency is a plus.
