We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy team in Minneapolis MN or Atlanta GA.

 

Job Summary:
Perform mechanical design tasks for industrial facilities. Assignments will be varied and can include such items as specification preparation, design and analysis calculations, detail definition, evaluation of existing facilities, construction monitoring, or on-site data gathering. Minimum 5 years of practical experience with HVAC design, plumbing, fire protection as well as general industrial systems like compressed air, special gases, etc. Experience in cleanroom design in the semiconductor or food industry will be considered a plus. This position is expected to be at a level where the individual will be able to independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using judgment when making minor adaptations and modifications. Assistance would be given for unusual problems. Some travel may be required.

 

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with mechanical emphasis. Professional Engineering registration is preferred. If a candidate has no existing PE credential, professional licensure would be required within one year (1) of employment. 7 to 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering for industrial applications. Applicable experience sectors may include Power, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, and/or Mining. Experience with construction observation will be considered a plus.

Key Skills: Viable candidate will be a flexible and dynamic team player capable of integrating into an international team. Individuals must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with very good organizational and project documentation habits. Candidate must have excellent analytical skills and proficiency in ASHRAE std and mechanical codes and industry-standard HVAC programs or spreadsheets. AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus. Ability to provide excellent customer service, work well in a collaborative environment and demonstrate effective team-building skills is a must. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
